Considering the situation determined by the current coronavirus pandemic,
Taking into account the new social distancing rules,
Noting the uncertainties regarding free movement and gatherings,
For the 2019 edition of IWCB VINARIUM 177 operators from 22 countries (producers, distributors, negotiators) have signed samples in.

Bucharest, the 17th of May 2019: The 16th edition of the International Wine Contest Bucharest – VINARIUM will take place in Bucharest, between the 23rd and the 26th of May 2019.
Points of interest:
The wine market in Romania is a traditional large and strong one, with increased consumption (ranking 7th in Europe). Even so, it is considered an emerging market with rising consumption rates. Romania is based on a long history of indigenous viticulture (discoveries show a 7.000-year “longevity” in this land), but also on the new realities of recent years.
The active population is fond of wine and young people adopt the latest trends, identifying wine as a source of elegant recreation, social positioning and healthy lifestyle.
Imports have outpaced exports, proving that Romania has an open, cosmopolitan market.
IWCB VINARIUM – promotes the medal-winning wines, as well as the producers who aim towards commercial performance.
IWCB-VINARIUM – creates public events or associates itself with existing ones that have had a proven impact, provides information for press articles, publishes relevant content in the specialized media outlets, issues its own Wine Special Actor publication (30,000 print copies) and permanently shapes consumption patterns.

The Museum of Romanian Records. It is in this unique enclosure in Romania, that the largest corkscrew collection is being kept, totalling over 30.000 pieces. This world record was registered by the Guinness Book in 2015, when there were “only” 23.965 pieces.

International Wine Contest Bucharest (IWCB) is the only wine contest from Central and East Europe both accredited by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and by the World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits competitions (VINOFED).

Bucharest, 8th of June : Thuesday, 6th of June , at Bragadiru Palace, Bucharest, took place the award ceremony of International Wine Contest Bucharest 2017. The contest was organized with the support of the City Hall of Bucharest and was hosted at ARCUB – Cultural Center of Bucharest.
