The XXIII edition of VINARIUM International Wine Contest takes place in Ploiești & Dealu Mare, between May 28–31, 2026. Organized under the patronage of OIV  (International Organization of Vine and Wine) and VINOFED(International Federation of Major Wine Competitions), with the activity endorsed by  UIOE(International Union of Oenologists) and with FIJEV(International Federation of Wine Journalists and Writers) as Partner, VINARIUM remains the largest event of its kind in the region.

At the start: dozens of countries, over 1,300 samples, wines from five continents. Among the entries are also surprising origins – South Korea, the Azores Islands – proof that the wine map no longer has boundaries, but also that Romania is becoming a tempting market. Over 40 international jurors will evaluate still, sparkling and vitivinicultural spirits, in the seven tasting committees. Official observers from OIV, VINOFED, FIJEV and UIOE will be present in Ploiești throughout the judging. The complete list of the jury, on www.iwcb.ro.

In addition to the classic medals (silver, gold, great gold medal), the 2026 edition brings special awards signed by VINOFED – for dry wines with the highest scores in the white, rose, red and sparkling categories – and FIJEV, for Romanian wines with the highest scores from local varieties or blends with a minimum of 50% Romanian varieties.

To remember: International Wine Label Competition, by Enovart – second edition. The label is the consumer’s first contact with wine – VINARIUM dedicates a competition to it. The final jury brings together art critic Adrian BUGA, image creator Costin TUDOSE and, from the younger generation, Miruna ȘTEFAN – visual artist. The winners receive the concept and production of 5,000 sets of labels at premium standards, supported by IPPU Prime Label and KURZ România.
