Has written for many British newspapers, including The Evening Standard (for ten years), The Financial Times, The Guardian and The Times; he is today Contributing Editor and a regular columnist for both Decanter and The World of Fine Wine, as well as Academic Advisor to the Wine Scholar Guild. He is one of three Co-Chairs for Decanter World Wine Awards, the largest global wine competition; he is also Jury Chair of the Saperavi International wine competition, held biannually in Tblisi, Georgia, and helps judge the Latvian Wine of the Year competition held annually in Riga. He and his family spent 15 months in Australia between 2009 and 2010, and have since lived in Languedoc, France.

Juror in various international wine contests and designated Chilean Wine Ambassador, creating a bridge between Chile and Europe. She also works in Wine Tourism, and is an enthusiast leader and organiser of wine & gastronomic study tours for professionals & wine lovers, mainly in Italy and Chile. Cecilia is member of the international Associations of Women and Wine; Le Donne del Vino (Italy) and Mujeres del Vino (Chile).

Robert Marshall is a British born wine and spirits consultant with over 15 years experience in the restaurant and service industry. He moved to Romania in 2007 and began working for a local wine producer in 2010 and during this time also studied his WSET diploma in London. Since 2016 he has worked as a freelance consultant for importers of premium drinks, and is currently a brand ambassador for Remy-Cointreau In Romania.
Master of Wine. He worked in wine research at Agroscope in Wädenswil, then as sales manager for oenology products. After that, he worked as wine buyer for Coop, Head of the purchasing department for Bataillard, Head of Product Management wine for Denner and now as the strategic buyer for Bataillard. His independent activities include producing wine on the island of Hvar in Croatia, consulting for different wine producers in Switzerland, Spain, and Croatia. Chairman of the Maître Conseil en Vins de France 2006 – 2008 and at the wine competition La Sélection in Basel. He writes for magazines including Schweizerische Weinzeitung (www.schweizerische-weinzeitung.ch) and Vinum.

She is currently a Buying Manager at Direct Wines, the largest direct-to-consumer wine retailer globally. Previously she has worked as a Buyer at another importer in the UK, for the Syndicate of Bordeaux wines in France, and for wineries in Australia. Over the past decade, her areas of specialty have been Spain and the countries of Central & Eastern Europe, including Romania.
