{"id":9320,"date":"2025-05-21T18:42:21","date_gmt":"2025-05-21T18:42:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iwcb.ro\/en\/?p=9320"},"modified":"2025-06-01T19:11:56","modified_gmt":"2025-06-01T19:11:56","slug":"vinarium-la-start-ploiesti-21-mai-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iwcb.ro\/en\/vinarium-la-start-ploiesti-21-mai-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"VINARIUM at Start, Ploiesti May 21st 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>VINARIUM International Wine Contest announces: THE XXII EDITION (May 22nd &#8211; 25th, 2025) will take place in Ploie\u0219ti.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1346 samples were received from 22 countries: South Africa, Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Chile, Czech Republic, Germany, Estonia, Spain, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lebanon, Republic of Moldova, Macedonia, New Zealand, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>228 operators (producers, importers, traders, representatives of producers) entered samples<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Still wines, sparkling wines and vitivinicultural spirits were entered into the competition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>39.82% of the total samples entered were from outside Romania \u2013 the organizing country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Judging will take place in 8 panels, each composed of 5 judges\/panel. Each panel will be led by a President. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iwcb.ro\/en\/jury-2025\/\">https:\/\/www.iwcb.ro\/en\/jury-2025\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total number of judges is 47, coming from 20 countries: Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official observers present in Ploie\u0219ti are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u2022 Mr. Richard Pfister, Elvetia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oiv.int\/news\/agenda\"><strong>OIV <\/strong><\/a>Observer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u2022 Mr. Manuel Capote, Spania, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vinofed.com\/?lang=en\"><strong>VINOFED<\/strong><\/a> Observer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u2022 Mrs. Janna Rijpma Meppelink, Netherlands, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fijev.org\/page\/1175528-la-federation-the-federation\"><strong>FIJEV<\/strong><\/a> Vice-President<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consensual score for each sample will be calculated as the arithmetic mean of all the judges\u2019 scores, after removing the extreme scores (the highest and lowest scores).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 The following will be awarded:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Great Gold Medals (score 93-100)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gold Medals (score 89-92.9)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Silver Medals (85-88.9)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 According to OIV Regulations only 30% of the samples entered in the competition can obtain a medal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the Gold, Silver and Great Gold Medals, the following special prizes will be awarded:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>VINOFED<\/strong> will award prizes for the dry wines that obtained the highest scores in the competition, in the categories: white wines, ros\u00e9 wines, red wines and sparkling wines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>FIJEV <\/strong>will award special prizes for the Romanian wines with the highest scores, wines that contain Romanian varieties or are blends in which Romanian varieties represent at least 50%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IPPU Packaging &amp; Kurz Romania Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VINARIUM jury will select the top 3 visual presentations \u2013 overall, packaging &amp; labeling \u2013 in terms of aesthetics, support of the oenological message, winery personality, plus the manner of creation. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ippu.ro\/\"><strong>IPPU Packaging <\/strong><\/a>together with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kurz.hu\/ro\/\"><strong>KURZ Romania<\/strong><\/a> are offering three prizes that include the production of a print run of 5000 sets of labels (front and back), made with skill and professionalism by the IPPU Packaging and KURZ Romania teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Importers&#8217; Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To increase the business potential of the imported wines that won medals at VINARIUM, VINARIUM &amp; vinul.ro are organizing (post-competition) an event to (re)acquaint these wines by importers from Romania. The Importers&#8217; Awards will be awarded.
