VINARIUM International Wine Contest announces: THE XXI EDITION (May 23rd-26th,
2024) is organized with the support of Ploie\u0219ti City Hall and is held under the auspices of
Ploie\u0219ti – Capitala Tineretului din Rom\u00e2nia #LetsPLAY, Funda\u021bia Jude\u021bean\u0103 pentru Tineret
Prahova, EUROSPIRIT Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 1502 samples from 26 countries were entered: South Africa, Argentina, Australia,
Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Cyprus, France, Germany, Georgia,
Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Republic of
Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\u2022 239 operators (producers, importers, negotiants, representatives of producers)
registered samples
\u2022 Still wines, sparkling wines and spirits based on grapes and wine were entered into
the competition
\u2022 39.3% of all registered samples were from outside Romania – the organizing country.
\u2022 The total number of judges is 47, coming from 18 countries: Bulgaria, Canada,
Cyprus, Switzerland, France, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Great Britain,
Norway, Netherlands, Republic of Moldova, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Turkey .
Judging will take place with 8 commissions of 5 judges\/commission. Each commission will

\u2022 The consensus average of each sample will be calculated as the arithmetic average of
the marks given by all the judges, after eliminating the extreme marks (the lowest mark
and the highest mark).
\u2022 Will be granted:
\u25aa Great Gold Medals (score 93-100)
\u25aa Gold medals (score 89-92.9)
\u25aa Silver medals (score 85-88.9)
\u2022 According to the OIV Regulation, only 30% of the samples entered in the competition
can obtain a medal
